The Observer

During the late Sixties and early Seventies there were a large amount of Migrants in America. They were Americans leaving thei’r Homes for Canada and Latin America. They were young Men who turned Eighteen and was now Eligible to be drafted into the U.S. Army. The U.S. Army was getting a Lesson in Vietnam, fighting in an unconventional Warfare. Guerilla Warfare is when you don’t know who are the Enemy and who are the People you are supposed to protect. Pretty much the way that Americans are heading today. The Casualties were more than the Government was reporting, the need for replacements were great.

Yet young Americans refused to wear the Uniform. Draft Dodger was a dirty and unpatriotic word. Yet many young Americans were crossing Borders to escape the Draft. 1973 Israel was fighting a War with Three Arab Countries Simultaneously. For a while it appeared that America’s help was needed in the Middle East. With Israel’s Resilience no Troops were Deployed. The World was Burning. Just Ten years earlier the Threat of Nuclear War came close to Reality. The Missile Scare, lasted 1 month, 4 days (16 October – 20 November 1962) confrontation between the United States and the Soviet Union which escalated into an international crisis when American deployments of missiles in Italy and Turkey were matched by Soviet deployments of similar ballistic missiles in Cuba, Ninety miles from Miami.

The confrontation is often considered the closest the Cold War came to escalating into a full-scale nuclear war. The Cold War put America and Russia in deep Freeze. All through my Teenage life, my Biggest Fear was that America could become another Hiroshima. The Streets of America was congested with Protesters every Day, Blacks and Whites for different Objectives. Blacks wanted Equality, Whites wanted thei’r young Men out of Vietnam.To say that America was in Turmoil would be a Huge Understatement. I never thought that I would live to see the Land of the Free in such Turmoil as it is Today. Back then there was a Huge Threat from Sleepers ( Russians living in America waiting for Orders).

Today the Sleepers are Americans, they are Extremists working in the Government ( 150 Lawmakers tried to overturn an Election). They are Serviceman wearing Uniforms that my Tax Dollars paid for. They are Police Officers who are supposed to protect me. They are my Neighbors Two Thousand strong who stormed the Capitol looking for the Speaker of the House and the Vice President. Among the overall Ten Thousand strong many came to do Battle, they were well Armed. Many were Retired Servicemen and Women trained in Tactical Warfare, the Woman who was shot and killed was One. They were awaiting Orders that never came. If the Order was given, the small Contingent of Capitol Police would have been no Match.

All Government Employees in the Capitol would have been killed. My Wife was a Federal Employee for Twenty Five years. On January Sixth My Body was Numb with Fear for the People cowering in the Basement of the Capitol. On Nine Eleven the same Numbness covered me, thinking of the Nine Hundred fellow Coworkers working for Solomon Brothers in the World Trade Towers. Is this my America or did I fell asleep and woke up in the Middle East. Today I have a New Fear, not for myself, but for the Eighth years old living in America today. I ask myself, from what they are Witnessing today, how is it shaping thei’r Social Values. How safe will they be, Twenty five years from now, living in Beirut U.S.A. in the year 1972.

Going to work and your Bus Explodes, Eating Alfresco and Thugs drive by and spray Bullets. This is how Extremists work. Today Americans are fair Game for Radicalization on both sides of the Fence. If a Civil War breaks out in America, that would only Embolden Russia and China to fulfill a lifelong ambition of flying their Flags over the Capitol. Divide and Conquer is a Tool used by the Greatest Conquerors of the World. This is Sixty Eight years of learning talking to you. You need to get rid of all the Bullshit Conspiracies and all the Extremism that is weakening this Democracy. Parting Words, all the Great Empires of the World have fallen, the African, the Egyptian, the Aztecs, the Roman the Ming Dynasty. Are we approaching the fall of America?.  I was only Fifteen years old in 1969, it was all the Bullshit that was going on that Dissuade me from Higher Learning, thinking that it was only a Capitalist Tool. Today the Future of the Fifteen years old out of School watching Television all Day is in your Hands and the way you vote, the next time you select a President.

Bow to Greatness

If there is anything in Life that I want the most, is to Die gracefully. Sitting up in my Bed comfortable and clean, free of pain grief and Guilt, with a Sifter of my Best Brandy in Hand. Knowing that I have lived this Life in a Fashion that Jesus would have no shame or misgivings about the way I have traveled my Journey. I am not the most Devout of Christians, I don’t go to Church every Sunday and I have deviated the Path many Times. However I have never lost my way or trampled on the Ten Commandments. If all the Biblical teachings are not all just Sculptured Words, meant to shape Consciousness and Behavior, then they do have Body and Weight. For instance, Sins of The Father, The Next Life and Losing my Soul.

Spirituality comes from God, Religion is Manmade and is Susceptible to Corruption and being self-serving. Jesus said that there are many who would profess his Name. Putting your Hand on the Bible and taking an Oath of pure Consciousness, yet your Heart is tarnished with Deceit, makes you a Hypocrite, whose Hand should burn from touching the Bible. At the early age of Fourteen I learned that Honor Nobility and Mortality were only Sculptured Words with no meaning. My Best Friend who came from a Religious Family who went to a Catholic School was totally Disillusioned with Religion and Society, at Twelve years old. He said Pope ( the name he called me) the World is a bad Place. He continued if these Walls could talk they would scream with shame.

He was referring to the Rectory Building that we sat behind, smoking Marijuana with strains so powerful, One hit and we were stoned. Twelve years old and Fourteen years old and we needed to calm our nerves with Cannabis. He told me Stories of young Boys being Emasculated in the Building we sat behind. I decried him and told him that he was playing with my Head. Thirty years later the same Stories he told made Headlines, brought Prosecutions, Lawsuits and Resignations of Clergymen high up in the Hierarchy. Do you still wonder why Two Kids with strong Religious upbringing would seek refuge in Cannabis to cope with Corruption in the Church, Corruption in Government and a Society that had let us down by Casting a Blind Eye.

Letting wrong doers know that they are protected by indifference, the lack of Benevolence and Jurisprudence is a Horrible message for your Children. In retrospect I am amazed that we didn’t commit Suicide from what we knew was going on, yet unable to help the victims. Suicide among Kids is an awful reflection on Society. If we told our Parents with their Tunnel Vision, they would have us laying on a Couch telling a Shrink that we didn’t Hate our Parents. They would have us Kneeling, begging for Repentance. Junior told me that the Victims were told, if you tell anyone, God would punish you. Fifty years Later I learned that The Boys Club of America is Equally Guilty.

Fifty Three years later of living in a Shameless Society that lets wrongdoers skate. I now realize that I am only responsible for my Soul and my Conscience. The Headbanger Heavy Metal Group screams ” Save yourself cause I can’t even save myself ” The Singer Songwriter puts it like this, ” I don’t care what you do, I wouldn’t want to be like you”. That is why all the Mendacity that is going on Today don’t phase me. The Phrase He’ll on Earth, that’s when your Conscience attack you like a Burning Hemorrhoid. When I sit-up in Bed waiting to draw my last Breath, there will be no Hemorrhoid of Conscience. Only the Joy of Knowing that I was here. I was a late pregnancy who dodged the Bullet of being Aborted.I see my Ethereal presence looking down, laughing at those who never figured out the Secret of living this Wonderful thing we call Life.

The Secret is living your Life in a Childlike Wonder in this Garden called Earth. When I am Sixty Miles out in the Gulf and I can’t see the Shores, now I realize how insignificant my Life is, only Equivalent to a Grain of Sand on the Distant Shores. Like R.E.M. said ” Life is bigger than you or I “, ” That’s me in the Corner”. I will never lose my Religion, though a Sinner,  my Heart is Pure. People makes the World go round and will always be who they are. I share with you my Original Life’s Quote ” if you have lived long enough to grow Old and there is nothing you have to Offer to the next Generation, in Teaching and Learning, you have not truly lived, only existed. Sometimes I think that the Only reason I write Blogs, is to Vent my Frustrations, which keeps me from Drinking up all my Good Brandy. Today, we look to the future calmly, confidently, and courageously. We look to the vision of America not merely free but united. In facing this new challenge, we can take comfort and encouragement from the lessons of the past. We know that there are differences among us. Americans enjoy different cultures, distinctive values, special attributes. But we also know that unity can be and has been attained among men of the most disparate origins, that differences of race, of religion, of culture, of tradition, are no insuperable obstacles to the coming together of peoples. History Repeating Itself

The FBI have Arrested Two Hundred and Fifty of the Traitors who put Bullshit conspiracies coming from a Man who would throw his Mother under the Bus, if she disagreed with him. The same way he Threw Pence and the US Government to the Wolves that Crashed the Capitol. I never had a Stomach for Politics, but when you live in a Community and a Society that allows themselves to be led like Sheep and are unable to formulate a Logical Opinion all on their own, Righteous minded People are thrown into the Circus Act that is Known as Politics. We are obligated to speak up, the Truth will always be the Truth even if no One believes it.

There was no Steal! 99.9% of Black People who casted a Vote, Voted against White Supremacy, they Voted against the KU Klux Klan, they Voted against Terrorism. Trump Embraced them all. There are good People on both sides he said after the Virginia Klan Rally. We did not like the Idea that his Father was Arrested while marching with the KU Klux Klan in Jamaica Queens 1927 ( Wrong Place wrong Time? so was the Capitol ). Bad Parents live their Children’s Lives. Somewhere around July the Proud Boys were ready to kill. When Mainstream Conservative America asked him to Denounce them, he told them to stand down, meaning that when I need you I will summon you.

Since then the Canadian Government have declared them to be a Terrorist Group. White Educated Suburbanites who voted for him 2016 didn’t want to be associated with Deplorables, so they voted Democrat. Not One Inner City in the entire U.S.A where Black People lived was won by Trump, there are Twenty Five point Eight Million,  eligible Black Voters. He needed every One of them to win. ( Message in a Bottle)The only Places he carried were Rural, So-called Heartland. If the entire Election was Scrapped and re- done the Outcomes would be the same( Black People don’t like him) the only way he could win is to Deny the Black Vote from being counted and he tried, Read my Lips ” Black People and White Suburbanites who didn’t want another Civil War in this Country, voted him out.

Blacks and Whites have always had their Differences, but they kept it Civilized. 1948 the German People didn’t keep it Civilized. Their Hatred for Jews Manifested into the Third Reich. Hitler was just the Tool, the Executioner. He was the Puppet Master screaming take our Country back, the German People bears the Guilt. The World will not be Destroyed by those who do Evil, but by those who watch and do nothing – Albert Einstein, from his Mouth to your Ears, been there. The secret of freedom lies in educating People, the secret of Tyranny is keeping them Ignorant- Robespierre.

July 14, 1789 the French People who stormed The Bastille yelled Vive La France ( Patriotic Words ) followed by Guillotine, they were of the same Mindset of those who stormed the Rotunda yelling ” Hang Mike Pence, kill Nancy. My God have we Evolved or what, Twenty First Century Peasants yelling Guillotine, Guillotine. Storming the Capitol is the Handwriting on the Sacred Walls of our Democracy. A Democracy that is Etched in Time for all People the World over who wants to be Free of Tyranny will Imitate. When the First Militia was formed it was to defend against Foreign Forces, not against its own Government. People don’t like when I am Brutality Frank, but Fifty Two years of living this Nightmare that One Day the Ku Klux klan will be in Power is looking so real, With people like Marjorie Taylor and the 150 Lawmakers who would Disenfranchise the Black Vote.

That was just a Dream

The Acid reflux that invaded my Intestines in High School, is still there, going to a School that was 85% White, 10% Black and Five Percent Latinos. I have lived this Daymare for 52 years, this is my Groundhog Life. The Bronx 1972 produced the Bronx Tale, that was my last year in Taft High School. Where I lived I could yell my Order out the Window to the Jewish Deli downstairs. One year out of High School and all the White People had left the Neighborhood, my Deli was gone, all because Black People had moved in the Neighborhood, this is my America. The Bronx was now the Ghetto of Warsaw, how quickly we forget. It was that early in Life that I learned that Hate was stronger than Christianity, and that it was a Religion in America.

Adolf Hitler told the German People that the Aryan People were the Superior Race, they believed him, look at the Outcomes. Trump told his Followers that the Election was Stolen and they believed him,  look at the Outcomes. History has repeated itself. My Mother was Homeschooled by a U.S. Army General and his Family while working for him as his Housekeeper. At Nine years old she told me that no One was above me, no One was better than I. She elaborated, if they went to the Bathroom like you did and had the dirty Deed of cleaning themselves, they are no better than you, more Privileged and better Educated, that’s all. While working in a Nursing Home I met a woman Eighty years old, she was of Polish Decent, we grew to Love each other.

I called her Chachi, she called me Chachi ( Grand Mother- Grand Father) she told me that I was wiser than my years, that’s why she called me Grandfather. One Day another Resident who was a Millionaire was acting Superior, they were waiting to get their shower. Chachi told her, if you are so Good, why don’t you go and Lick yourself clean. All the Staff and Residents could not understand why we Bonded like Crazy Glue, they didn’t realize that we were both of the same mindset. My Second Mother who I adopted in the same Nursing Home, an eighty years old Irish Woman from the Old Country. She said Tooney ( Tony ) they are all full of Blarney. This Blog is Dedicated to Liz and Chachi, these were the People who made America Great.

The World's Greatest Daredevil

Liz told me that when she came from Ireland as a young Woman, working as a Housekeeper on Fifth Ave in Manhattan, she had to use the backdoor and the Service Elevator. This is my America, I have invested over One and a Half Million in Taxes and Social Security. Every Month I send IRS a check for Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars above my Biweekly Payroll Taxes. If I tried to leave this Country IRS would Object. I told my Wife a Retired Federal Employee that if I lived to be a Hundred years old, I still would Owe IRS. I have been doing my Own Tax Returns for Forty years, I am good, but not good enough to reduce my out of Pocket to 750 Dollars without Cheating. God Bless America, Home Sweet Home.

Civil Unrest

Today I had the most Edifying Conversation with a Deputy who is Eighty Days from Retirement. The Conversation began with me telling him Merry Christmas, Happy New Years and all that stuff on 02/01/21. I had not seen him since the Week before Christmas. He asked me if my planned move to South Carolina was still on. I told him that there could be no dissuasion. I told him that this was her place of Birth and that she was Resolved about going Home. I interjected that I hope that this wasn’t the Elephant Syndrome  (returning to your place of Birth to Die ). Then we continued about the way some People are about their perspectives, my way or the Highway. Then we broached on the way things are Today, the split in America. He is White and Fifty Five Years old, I am Black and Sixty Seven years old. He is Republican I am Democrat yet we could have a Civilized Disagreement about the Social Upheavals we are Experiencing.

We Discussed the Evils of Socialism’s, yet the need for Affordable Health Care, Economic and Racial Equality. There are Black People whose Wealth surpasses a Hundred Billionaires, yet inner City kids go to Bed Hungry. As you can see Greed has no Color. So you see my Hateful Friend, it’s not White against Black, it’s us against them. My Best Friend at Thirteen was Eighty Percent White, his Brother Ninety Percent, yet they were considered Black. I believe that notion created an Identity Crisis and inward conflicts for them. They rejected their White Heritage vehemently. The Conversation was like Salt and Pepper coming together at the Dinner Table to make the Meal more Palatable. That brought us to the Heart of the Matter. Coming to the Table with ” Emotional Intelligence”. In Sixty Seven years of living I had never heard that Phrase until he told me that I possessed it. We then ended the Conversation on the Premise that this was the Missing Equation at the Table. I was already Two Hundred words into this Blog before we had this Conversation. All it did was to put a Column Post to this Blog.

1972 America was in Turmoil with Civil Upheavals dealing with Civil Rights protests and the Vietnam War. Black People wanted equal justice, something that is still elusive and White People wanted their Young Men out of Vietnam, a war that was considered to be Illegitimate. America was getting her Ass Kicked, Crooked Nixon and his Nixon Republicans were playing Smoke and Mirrors with the Numbers of Fatalities on each side. The Day that I had planned to enlist, something happened and I missed my appointment. One of my Childhood friends who was Three years older than I kept his appointment. Within One and a half years in this Guerrilla warfare this Patriotic young Man Decided that he had seen enough of his Comrades Dying senselessly. He slipped away from his Unit and made his way back to the Bronx. When I saw him I thought I had seen a Ghost,

Two weeks earlier he had written to me how they were trapped in a Fierce ambush, he stated that this was everyday occurrences, and that he didn’t think that he would make it back home. Weeks before he Enlisted we had many Debates about why should a Black Man in America join the Army, there were Racism in the Army and in the Neighborhood, where were the Gains. Back then I was not enlightened to the Words ” always support your Country, your Government only when deserving”. So there you have it, the motivation for this Blog. Extremely Skilled U.S. Army trained Black Men, trained Killers, living next-door. About One year ago One of them returned Home to the most Pregudicall place on Earth, Texas U.S.A. he was unable to deal with the Degradation of being Black living in Texas. One Day he Armed himself and took up a Vantage Point Four Stories in a Garage. Before they Blew him up with a Robot Bomb he had killed Four Cops. A couple of Days later in Louisiana Two Cops got Ambushed the way my Friend and his Unit got Ambushed in Vietnam, Two more Cops lost their Lives. A Thousand Miles further North in Missouri another Ambush. If that’s not Homegrown Terrorism then I am a fan of the Ku Klux Clan. Albert Einstein said that a Fool does things the same way indefinitely, each time looking for different Results. Today we are living in a Toxic Environment of Extremists Driven Separatism and Division. As a result of misunderstanding and misinterpretations of the Second Amendment White Supremacist Groups are Extremely Armed and Facilitate the Notions of Armed Confrontations.

The Ignition, widespread Conspiracy Theories that they are losing their Country, that they stole from the Native Americans. What gave these People the Notions that the North Americas Belongs to the White Man. The People on the Mayflower were Refugees running from Extremism and oppression.

They came here and Perpetuated Genocide on the true American, the Native American. They then went to Africa and Kidnapped an Entire Generation of People. With Brutality and ungodly treatment of the Black People uprooted from their Home and with Free Labor, they Forged their way into Civilization. When the rest of the World developed Consciousness and decided to free their Slaves America was the last Civilized Nation to follow Suit. That was preceded by a Bloody Battle that cost Sixteen Thousand Lives to keep things Status Quo. Four Hundred years Later and they want to make America Great Again and take their Country back from Progressives. Taking a Country back has its Costs.

1971 I was only Seventeen when I told my Friends that the same way People were Dropping Buildings in the Middle East, one Day that would happen in America. Then came Tim McVeigh then the World Trade Center with Nine Hundred of my former Coworkers. I told my Friends that Israel Facilitated all the Terrorist activities that was going on in Lebanon and Tel Aviv. They asked me how so, I told them that when People have nothing to lose, they Sacrifice their Lives to make a Statement. What the Engineers of this Movement don’t understand is that if White Supremacists were to take Power, Yes the Seeds are Planted in Congress. Black People would be put in the same Predicament that the Palestinian People were subjected to. Hence the Father of Terrorism Yasir Arafat came to Power and even become President of Lebanon. Be careful of whom you choose to become President 2024. Marjorie Taylor Greene is the Supremacist Seed, the Pig wearing Lipstick and Heels. She said that Seventeen years old Cruz didn’t Kill seventeen of his fellow Classmates in my Home State of Florida. She attached the Killings and the World Trade Center to Conspiracy Theories, that both circumstances were Dubious. Well there you have it , Ignorance is an Epidemic and is Contagious, there are many others in the Government. One of them will run for President in 2024 and take Trumpisim to the next Level. I will end this with my favorite prompt, what is the Author not saying?. Forget about that, I will tell you what I am saying, America is Approaching The Edge of Night and us the God-fearing Ones who Love this Land need lend a helping Hand.

There you have it, it do exist, it’s not just a Phraseology. Its the ability to as my Grandmother used to say ” the ability to Cipher ( figure, dissect, reason, analyze ) out things on your own, and not buying Bullshit fed to you. Weather from an Individual, the Media or written in a Book by someone who was Educated, but nonetheless Dimwitted.

Someone who could only write about what he had read, yet not being able to draw his own Conclusions. I grew up in the Turmoil of the Seventies, the Vietnamese War, the Cold War,  Civil Rights Upheavals and the Hippie Revolution. I became skeptical of the Government when they did not step up to the Plate as far as Civil Rights were considered. The Government let Black People down, by having to wrest given Rights, Rights bestowed by the Constitution. Haters are not Americans, they Circumnavigate the Constitution and they believe that Justice means( just us). Annihilation of the Black Panther Party, while Allowing the Ku Klux Klan to be protected under the first Amendment.

Not Educating the People to understand that the only true American is the Native American Indians. I do understand why that is a Forbidden Subject.  Not indoctrinating Citizens that Democracy was a Precious and Sacred way of Life, even with all its Faults. The Phrase Make America Great Again, as in Jim Crow Laws, is a Battle Call to Regression. I am a Master of reading unspoken Words. If I learned nothing in English Literature, I learned to un-archive what the Speaker isn’t saying. My English Literature Teacher Ostracized me for Two Semesters, she asked me ” what is the Author not saying” I totally understand what M.A.G.A means. And that is the reason why every Urban City Voted Democrat.

If Trump had his way all those Votes would be thrown out, that is the Disenfranchisement that MAGA stood for( Voter Suppression) as in before Suffrage. Many States like Texas and Georgia did a good job of keeping people from casting a Vote, that is the Steal. Robbing people of their Constitutional Rights. Anyway I have vented enough, what this Blog is about is Gray Matters using your Noodles to figure out that you are being Brainwashed with Dangerous Propaganda that brought us to the Brink of destruction of Our Democracy, by the same people who started a War with the State’s of America for the Prolongation of Slavery. At 4:30 a.m. on April 12, 1861, Confederate troops fired on Fort Sumter in South Carolina’s Charleston Harbor. Less than 34 hours later, Union forces surrendered.

Traditionally, this event has been used to mark the beginning of the Civil War. The same People who stormed the Capital talking about taking their Country back. Their Grandparents shouted the same Words when they Stormed Indian Villages, killing Men Women and Children. That my Friend is where Gray Matters comes in. Being able to Know Right from Wrong and choosing your own Path and not living the Path your Ancestors Chose, killing for the Flag you Fly. All those Stars in the American Flag stands for Something so does the Lines, so are the Colors. The Trump Flag is White and Blue, no Red. What is the Author not saying?. No Unity no Inclusion.

Jim Jones died of a gunshot wound to the head in Jonestown, Guyana, on November 18, 1978. His death occurred during the Jonestown Massacre, when he ordered the mass murder-suicide of more than 900 members of his Peoples Temple religious group. He did not Drink the Poison he fed to his Congregations. Yet they believed everything he told them, including drinking the Poison. Trump fed Fifty Seven Million People the Poison of Misinformation and Disinformation. His Words ” Fight like Hell” ordered an Army of Zombies with no Gray Matters to tear down the Sacred Doors and Windows of Democracy. ( The secret of freedom lies in educating people, whereas the secret of tyranny is in keeping them ignorant. Maximilien Robespierre). Back in the U.S.S.R. You don’t know how lucky you are Boy. My Gray Matters tells me it is Better to live in a Dis-United States of America, than living in North Korea. Lets get through this together, let’s bring our Democracy Back, So the World can see our Resilience.
