Old Dogs 🐕
Listening to the Group Tribal Seeds, the Song goes we don’t need to play for anyone. I said to myself what a Beautiful thought. Musicians saying that they don’t need to play for anyone. In other words they are contented jamming without an Audience. Then I reflect on my Daily Commute. There isn’t one single Day that I don’t encounter someone performing behind the Wheel. Well my Friend if you are so shallow that this is your only Stage in Life, that’s very sad. There are so many Platforms to Shine on in this Life, for instance I am at the Checkout and the Person in front of me tells the Cashier to add my items to Her Bill. Passing on good Vibes is my favorite, whatever I can do to make someone’s Day Pleasant is an achievement for me.
Pissing off People cutting them off, jamming on your Brakes when you see the street number you are looking for is a Foolish way to Drive. Running the Gauntlet in Rush Hour Traffic is looking for Negligent Homicide. A Hole opens up and you gun the Engine is running the Gauntlet. Back in Olden Days running the Gauntlet left you battered, bruised and sometimes Dead. Always Driving like a Maniac is the motivation for this Blog. They say that you can’t teach an old Dog new Tricks, how true. After fifty years of Driving with Dimwitted People behind the Wheel, Commuting up to two Hundred miles Daily. I have learned that the only way to avoid Accidents is to not Drive in Packs. You either have to be up front with the Runners or in the back of the Runners.
Driving in the Pack with Lackadaisical preoccupied People in a Mental Lull, guarantees an Accident, sooner than later. People who have been Driving the same way all their Lives, with the attitude that they are in their Living Room. Driving in a Sing along Manner, ” Zip a do da Zip a di da”. Driving is a cutting-edge Activity, always sharp always focused. That’s how I covered Millions of Miles with zero Accidents charged to me with one Speeding Ticket. Every time I get behind the Wheel it’s Lights, Action, Camera, it’s like taking a Screen Test to Live out the rest of my Life without the Scars from a bad Accident. It will be a Life long project for me, trying to figure out why the Idiot only comes out while you are behind the Wheel. Seemingly Intelligent People loose it when they are behind the Wheel.
They Perform in a Negative way, trying to prove that they are as good as Dale Earnhardt, Rest his Soul. We don’t have to play for anyone. I know how good I truly am, I don’t blow Smoke up my own Exhaust, I blow it out. When I am on one of my Road Trips, I can Travel for five Hundred miles at eighty, never getting close to anyone and never having to use my Brakes. Last Summer I was Driving through Georgia at five PM, I couldn’t believe that there were two Idiots racing in Rush Hour Traffic, changing Lanes and weaving Traffic at eighty MPH. I said to myself I guess that the Idiot Mentality isn’t only in Tampa, but a National Dilemma. These People gets behind the Wheel and it’s like someone flips a Light Switch and up pops the Idiot.
They feel the need to always be performing on a Blacktop Stage. Sometimes the outcomes are Catastrophic. Nobody goes out there looking for an Accident, however your Driving do Facilitates the Events. Always having your heavy Foot on the Gas and treating your Steering Wheel like a Joystick in a Video Arcade, eventually end with Catastrophic results. Always Driving in a Lull Mindlessly will have the same results. Rush Hour nine A.M. I am leading the Pack on a three Lane Road in the City. The Driver behind me is always up on my Bumper, ten miles over the Limit. Did I mention Idiot Mentality? Over a two miles stretch there was room to pass every step of the way. Now we come to a Junction where Traffic merges to the Left, while Traffic merges onto this Road to the right.
The Lulled Tailgater zips to my left then cut me off and ran the Gauntlet for ten seconds. The Traffic slowdown to its regular Rush Hour pace, where was the gain? Showing me that she was all that. When we came parallel I glanced in the Car, I see a Person up in Age with Gray to prove, She’s been Driving that way for forty years, a Performer. How are you going to teach Tricks to an Old Dog? It can’t be done. Regardless I will never stop beating the Drums about bad Drivers, there are so many of them out there. They never realized how Atrocious their Driving is until the Jaws of Life have to cut them out of the Wreckage. Finally, drive like I do, drive to Live.

Did COVID-19 escape from a lab? – Alliance for Science

The Mask
Mr Morgan who happens to be the most Prominent Attorney in my Area, says that when you Live long enough to get to our age. You have earnd the right to speak your mind on any Platform. I don’t care who is with me or as my Illiterate Great Grands would say agin( against) me. Fortunately they had the Intelligence of knowing what Animals we could safely eat. In Huanan the People who frequented the Market where Covid19 crossed over from the slaughtering of Bats to Humans didn’t know that you shouldn’t eat Bats. Years ago another Pandemic came from the Slaughtering of Chimpanzees for Human consumption.
The Aids Epidemic had a good run because People were Ignorant and refused to use protection. The ignorance is once again with us. Very few of us are wearing Masks. The Danger is not in ignorance and fear but in the ignorance of not fearing the Danger. Staying at Home and Social Distancing is not the answer. Wearing a Mask and Sanitization is. When I was Certified in Hazmat I learned that wearing a Mask was one of the most Fundamental practices to protect you from Micro Particles. If someone Sneezed in an Elevator five Hours earlier and the Virus attached itself to a Dust Particle, depending on it’s Molecular structure it stay Airborne indefinitely. Now you enter the Elevator which is considered to be a Confined area, not wearing a Mask.
At this rate there is no end in Sight for Covid19, why? The ignorance of not fearing the Danger. I was wearing a Mask and Sanitizing my hands after touching anything that someone else touched three Months before anyone else in the Courthouse. Around the same time I went through the Building, four Stories each floor two Football Fields Long. I wiped the Crashbars, Door Handles, Elevator Buttons, Escalator Rails and Public Telephones with a Sanitizer recommended to kill Covid19. Many People thought that I was Stupid because this wasn’t my Job. Months later the Housekeeping Department was ordered to follow my Suit.
Four Months later I went to the Automated Teller at my Bank and someone was there wiping down the Machine, around the same time the Supermarket was wiping down the Carts. I have yet to see an Employee wiping down Door Handles and the Pump Handle at the Gas Station/ Convenience Store. Ignorance of the Danger. While the World is under Lockdown and the World Economy loose Trillions, I haven’t missed a Day of work. Locking down Countries brings us closer to Financial Collapse. They say that People makes the World go round, not true, Money makes the World go round. Ask the Millions applying for Unemployment Compensation. I once met a Man who had spent Hundreds of Thousands trying to save his Terminally ill Wife, he was now Flat Broke, he told me that he wished that he was the one Dying. That’s what Destitution do to People.
I had one Philosophy when I was unemployed, it is better to make fifty Cents an Hour than Zero Cents per Hour. We need to unlock the World, people need to get back to Work, equipped with Masks and Hand Sanitizer. Social Distancing do not protect you from Airborne Particles. It’s a shame that the CDC doesn’t make it mandatory to wear a Mask when you’re out in Public, If you choose not to wear one you should be forced to stay Home. My biggest fear about People who don’t wear a Mask is, its a Known fact that one can be Infected, yet shows no signs or Symptoms and go around spreading it Before coming down full blown. Save me from the Ignorance of not fearing the Danger. The Workplace and the Places we spend our Money should step up their efforts to protect us by following the Sanitary practices that I have established in the Building where I work. I gave my train of thought a rest fo one Hour while I go shopping at Wal-Mart, there I observed twenty five percent of the Shoppers wearing a Mask. On the way Home I stopped at the Gas Station/ Convenience Store, seven People inside including the Cashier, no one wearing a Mask, I rest my Case in disgust. I went Home and wiped down everything that I had purchased with sanitizer. The Lord helps those who help themselves, he also looks out for Babies and Fools. As the Song goes ” Save yourself, cause I can’t even save myself”.
Be The Driver
Bad Drivers are like Alcoholics, they hate being told about themselves.
Be The Driver

Be the Driver
Every time I think that there is nothing left to be said about careless and recklessness behind the Wheel, you prove me wrong. Stay at Home Rule is in effect, the Roads are less congested by more than fifty percent. Yet this morning I woke up to the News that there was an early morning Fatal Crash in my Area. This brings to mind a Joke I told my Wife when I was teaching her to Drive. I told her that it doesn’t matter what time of Day it is, no matter where you are, Highway, Rural or City. Always know where you are on the Road, who is in front, beside and behind you. The Joke went like this, I could be in the Desert at three A.M. no one in front of me for five miles and no one behind me for five miles yet I would still have an Accident.

She asked how so, I replied, they would fall from the Sky. No word of lie that’s how it is out there. These Days I go to work at the Courthouse, there is no Traffic on the Road, no Court in Session, yet there are Cars in the Parking Lot. The only Employees allowed to come to work are Clerks collecting Money for Fines. The only People coming there are People whose Fines are past Due. With no Traffic on the Roads People are still killing themselves and others, by yielding to the temptation of Speeding. These People who are always heavy footed are clueless when it comes to Evasive Maneuvering. For instance your Car ends up on two Wheels, your Passenger side is in the Air, they don’t know that turning your Steering Wheel slightly to the right will set the Car back down on all four. Over compensating will flip it on the Passenger side.

Yet these same People are always Driving at Breakneck speed. In an earlier Blog I wrote about Harry, he Drove at Breakneck Speed all his Life crashing BMWS and the likes. All his bad crashes were caused by excessive speed, yet he learned nothing. His last and final crash, they had to cut the Car apart to remove his badly mangled Body from the Car. He broke his Neck in two places, his License revoked for all the other crashes that were charged to his recklessness. I am forever amazed by People like Harry blowing off my Doors, in a hurry to Calamity. My Car will be five years old in two months, I change my Oil religiously and frequently add Fuel injector cleaner to my Gasoline. The Car runs better than the Day I drove it of the New Car Lot, in Idle the Tachometer never leave 750 RPM.

One Night around two A.M. all by my Lonesome on the Bayside Bridge, I decided to exercise the Lifters and blow out the Combustion Chamber. I punched it slightly at sixty five, in the bat of an Eye the Speedometer read over 100. With all that Power I am still one of the most Civilized Driver on the Roadways. Traveling from Florida to South Carolina the Speedometer never passed eighty. Yet there were People leaving me in the Dust. The same ones who don’t know how to set the Car back down, avoiding a rollover. I think that it all Boils down to Respect, they don’t respect the Vehicle, it’s Engineering or its Capabilities. Most importantly they don’t respect their Privilege to Drive and their fellow Drivers. Why do you think that there are so many incidents of Road Rage.

It doesn’t matter if it is two A.M. or two P.m. you will always find these same Flighty People on the Roadways creating Havoc. Your Job is to know that they are out there in the Nevada Desert waiting for you at two A.M. It’s for you to be (The Driver) the one who save Lives, the one who always make it back Home to the ones who love you. What I love most about writing Blogs about bad Drivers is, bad Drivers are like Alcoholics, they don’t like other people telling them about themselves. They resents it to no end. If you think I’m lying, next time you are the Passenger, ask why is he Driving like that. When I was a Teenager, whenever I was driving too fast, my Mother would always ask me where is the Fire. Those words always Irked me, Back Seat Drivers I mumbled to myself.

Nonetheless they taught me not to create Anxiety in my Passengers. My Friends call me Repetitious when I remind them of our young and Reckless Days. I do the same to my Readers in hope that one of them comes away with something that will save a Life. So here we go again. It was late Night on a Saturday. Five young Men partying the Night away. The oldest being twenty two, the youngest being me at seventeen. The two older Guys had just acquired Brand New Cars. We were Party hopping, each stop the Drivers had one to three mixed Drinks. After three stops on our way to the last, which almost became our final stop on this Earth. The Drivers decided to Race each other.

This was nothing short of The Young and Reckless, no respect for the Odometer reading one Thousand Miles. Sitting in the Passenger Seat I couldn’t help noticing the Needle teetering 115 MPH. When we got to the Exit Ramp we were going way too fast to negotiate the Ramp. Halfway through the Ramp I was sitting in the Drivers Lap. The Car was on two Wheels, I accidentally touched the steering Wheel to the right, which sat the Car back down. Eyes still glued to the Speedometer reading 90 MPH when it entered the Ramp, Halfway through, it only dropped down to 50. Well it must be true that the Lord looks out for Babies and Fools, otherwise I would not be here writing this Blog. I feel compelled to Reminisce these Tragic events hoping to save a Life. This one is for you Precious, my Friend Precious lost her Life at nineteen years old. The Driver taking her Home from a party was Intoxicated, he hit a Light pole sending her through the Windshield. Speaking out about Reckless People is something that’s been Bottled up in me for fifty years. Parting words, ” Be the Driver, Be the Responsibile one” there are enough Reckless Drivers out there.
