How Be The Best Driver

To be the very best Driver on the Road takes one and only thing. Focus on the Other Guy, not yourself and your Skills. That amounts to not Showing off how good you are. Once you have Mastered the Skills of operating the Vehicle, it is not necessary to show your fellow Drivers the Skills you possess. That will come when the other Drivers you are sharing the Road with, screws up, the ones who haven’t reached your level of Consciousness. Knowing that Three Thousand pounds of Steel travelling at a Seventy Miles per Hour, Impacting, parallels with a Stick of Dynamite. Traveling at high speeds in a Congested Area doesn’t prove to anyone how skilled you are. It only tells them that you are a Ticking Time Bomb, Speeding towards Calamities.

Being Vigilant all the Time while you are behind the Wheel, is what it is all about. If you are always putting the Pedal to the Metal you loose Focusing to a great Degree. You are spending way too much time focusing on your Hood and don’t see the Big Picture. US19 is one of the most Dangerous by Design Roadways in Pasco and Pinellas County. Within Seven years of me using this Road there have been a Minimum of One Hundred Fatalities, Pedestrians, Motorcyclists and Cars. Dangerous by Design, twenty five Miles of Road Jam packed with Stores on each side, Stop Lights every half a Mile, six U-Turn Lanes between each Lights, yet it is posted 55-MPH, average speed 65-MPH.

Five years old not a scratch, like it left the Showroom. I have been Driving the same way for fifty years.

The Numerous times I have come up on Accident Scenes and have seen someone on the Pavement covered up, tells me that Being vigilant and focused is the Key to saving lives. Always Hotdoging it behind the wheel is testing Fate, eventually you will find Disaster, worse, you will be the on who created it. Most People do not possess the Coordination of a Wide receiver, nor the Skills of Dale Earnhardt Jr. Yet they run a Three Thousand pounds Vehicle in congested areas at high speeds every time they get behind the wheel, even just to go one mile. The only time I run my Engine is when I am Traveling Hundreds of miles, on open Roads. Doing eighty MPH for four Hours straight, separates foolish Vehicle Operators from Seasoned Motorists.

Traveling eleven Hundred Miles I have less fear of having an Accident, than Traveling Twenty five Miles on US19. Because those same foolish Operators Fly when it comes time to travel eleven Hundred miles. Doing long Hauls I spend little time looking out for the other Guy, I focus on staying alert. Commuters are the most Amazing Drivers, you would think that taking the same Route every Day for Twenty years, would make them the safest and skilled Drivers. Not so, instead of having a pleasant relaxed experience everyday, they have a Nail-biting Hairraising run of the Gauntlet. Twenty years of Driving like that takes years from your Life. Not to mention the Havoc you have created. Looking out for these People every Day for fifty years with no Accidents, gives you Bragging Rights. That is how you stand out not Driving like them and being part of the Problem.

The Stats speak for Themselves

Tampa may not have as high a number of traffic accidents as some other Florida counties, but it still has its fair share of them.

Here is a closer look at some of the accident statistics from Tampa and the surrounding Hillsborough County in 2018:

Total Number Of Crashes – 29,037

Injuries From All Crashes – 20,114

Fatalities from Crashes – 179

Total Bicycle Crashes – 519

Total Bicycle Fatalities – 10

Total Motorcycle Crashes – 628

Total Motorcycle Fatalities – 29

Total Pedestrian Crashes – 625

Total Pedestrian Fatalities – 54

In Pinellas County there were 28,000 crashes 100 Death’s 4400 injuries. The estimated Economic Cost of crashes, Injuries and Fatalities in Pinellas County for 2015, $1,500,835,100.  I decided to omit my County, Pasco, however I pay an extra $40 Monthly for people who don’t have Insurance. Here is the Overall Stats for the State of Florida.

Florida motor vehicle accidents decreased in 2018 over 2017, but only by a little more than one percent. Statewide, agencies reported there were 397,812 total accidents reported in 2018. This includes 251,970 injuries and 3,004 fatalities. This is an improvement over the previous year. I don’t know how it is in your Neck of the Woods, but you can see that I have no other choice. I focus on who I am sharing the Road with, I cannot afford to Drive like them. Life is too short and Precious for me to throw Caution in the Wind. Finally please do not become one of the Statestics. Drive like your Life depends on your Vigilance, it Does.

As the saying goes, what goes around comes around. In other words, If you do good, Karma will reciprocate. I couldn’t help wanting to share this Story of an Athlete who is well paid in England who finds the Time to do Charity work. In this Country many of us suffer the I got mine Syndrome. Giving back to the Community is only a Publicity Ploy by many. But not this young Man who remembers being Hungry. When it comes to Respiratory Protection, I have spent many Hours reading the Book in the above Picture. The Book is over one Thousand Pages, it is the Workers Handbook for handling Asbestos, Respiratory Protection is vastly discussed. It is said that no one Person can know everything. However I believe it was Einstein who said that ” Wisdom is not a Product of Schooling, but of the lifelong attempt to acquire it”. One of my High School Teachers riveted the Thought. She said that I should never stop Learning even when Schooling is finished. That’s why I became one of the Greatest Do it Yourself Person. I Thought myself to fix Cars, Electric Appliances, Buildings and how to Live and protect myself from Ill Health Effects.

 

O.S.H.A’s Recommendations from the above Manual. This Paragraph is about protecting your Lungs from sucking in Asbestos Particles. However a Mask protect your Lungs from many things including a Virus Droplet attached to a Dust Particle, that can stay Airborne for a long time.

I could go on with Technical Jargon for the remainder of this Blog, I never did like talking Shop except to People who are Versed in its Field. I never talk to a one year old in Baby Talk, I speak to then in regular speaking Tone so they can learn Language. That’s why I am finished with the Technical Jargon. When I worked in Hazmat I followed Procedures to the Letter. Many of my Coworkers thought that I was a Fanatic for not removing my Mask and having a Cigarette with them In the Work area. I have even witnessed a Supervisor eating Asbestos to prove to the Crew that it wasn’t as Dangerous as O.S.H.A said it was. He has been resting in the same Grave for the past twenty years. Twenty years is the Latency period for the Exposure of your Lungs to Asbestos to Manifest Symptoms of the Disease Asbestosis.

 

 

One Month ago I had a Complete Physical, including Colonoscopy and Chest Xray from Numerous Angles. All the Results came back Negative. Even though I have been Smoking since fourteen and Handled Dangerous Materials, my Lungs have not been Compromised. Mostly, the Lord looks out for Babies and Fools, secondary I have always wore a Mask when required. The way the Virus is spreading is directly the outcomes of Circumnavigation of wearing a Mask in Public. The Virus is rampant in the Courthouse where I work. The first Day that the Pandemic was announced, I went to work wearing a Mask. Months before the first case was discovered in the Building. Since then many of my Coworkers have Tested Positive, two of them I had direct contact with.

 

Proper Hygiene is the Answer

 

I once Facetiously asked one of them, if we all are going to Die. He answered, no just some of us. He tested negative, yet Sick for a good while, H.R. forced him to get tested again, this Time, Positive. They both thought I was overreacting with the Mask wearing. One Department is totally Inundated, there can’t be less than thirty cases in this one Area. I see the Sanitization Crews come in and Fog the Building more frequently than not. This week someone told me about a Coworker who was in the Hospital for Two Months, they are now Home and is still struggling with Symptoms and Backlash of the Virus. Hello! Do I have your Attention about the Importance of wearing a Mask. If Joe Biden tells me that I should wear a Mask to Bed to protect my Wife, then it’s a done Deal.

 

Taking the Misguided Approach to wearing a Mask is Equivalent to following the Pied Piper to a Road where the Bridge is missing. If I was Joe I would not take Residence in the White House until the place was Bleached and Fogged. The President said that Children were just about Immune to the Virus. Last Week a Kindergarten Died from Covid19, three months ago in my Neighborhood an Eleven years old and a Seventeen years old. These are Prime Physical Specimens of Health, so what are my chances for survival with preexisting conditions.  Yesterday I went to Wal-Mart, 99.9% of the People there were wearing a Mask, the .1% Agnostics there was an Older Man and his Wife, the other Fractions were People wearing thei’r Mask incorrectly, exposing thei’r 👃 Nose. What I like the most about Freedom and Rights, we all have the Right to be Stupid and Ignorance is Free. Parting Words, Health Officials, Doctors and Hospitals are on the Brink of Panic, please do your part in Saving someone else’s Life, even if you don’t care about your Own.

The raised Fist have been vastly misconstrued. The raised Fist first symbolized Black Power by the Black Panther Party. But as Time went by with Dr King preaching of unity and the Rainbow Collation, it became Power to the People. As in the Downtrodden People of the World, and was seen in Places like South Africa when Nelson Mandela came on the Scene and Places like Uganda when  they Rebelled. I noticed Trump flashing the raised Fist many times and it didn’t occur to me what was the significance. Then I saw Joe Biden flashed it at a post Elections Address. Then my little Mind started Conferring with my figurative Mind.

When Joe flashed it, it meant Victory to the People. When Trump flashed it means Power to the People, his People. In other words White Power. How Divisive for a World Leader to Embrace Isolationism. Because that is exactly what Supremists like Hitler advocated for the Airon People being the Supreme Race. My God how many America are there. Why is United even in its Reference, when you have so many America in the United States. You have the Lone Star State, the Union Jack, Black America, White America and Trump Nation. What keeps this Country from a Civil War is beyond me. I have always considered America to be the Melting Pot of the World, starting when the Mayflower Docked at Plymouth Rock. The Africans were brought here against thei’r will their Sweat took us from the Agricultural Age into the Industrial Age.

Germany’s Scientific Refugees brought thei’r Technical Advantage. The Japanese and Asians brought 3G and 4G Technology. A little bit from all Walks made America the Greatest Nation in the World, because it took the Best and Brightest from every Corner of the Globe. Why wouldn’t it become the Greatest Nation on the Planet, it borrowed a little resource from every Nation. Now you have Inadequate Thinkers Preaching Separatism and closed Doors Policies dealing with Some of the Best and Brightest from Latin America. What Hypocrisy knowing that the closest to a True American is the Native American, and look what happened to them. Get your Head together People there is no better time for Reconciliation. America is an Immigration Melting Pot, that’s how the Country was Born.

The way Kramer burst into a Room is how a lot of People thinks, Bodacious, get over yourselves. As the Judge would say ” from the Results of this Paternity Test, you are not the Father” just another Surrogate, a Dooner from the World Bank. Who are you to become a Game Changer, when the Mayflower wrote the Book. I forgot to Mention the other America, My America, the one the Founding Fathers Drafted. It is now Two Am the Day after America have spoken,  now I am going to speak ” Stop the Bickering and let’s put this Country back on the right Track” Division is a Divisive 🔧 Tool. I could take this untill the Sun comes up, but that’s not me, I say what I have to say with as few words as possible. Now I do to you what my English Literature Teacher did to me.
